Some people are indeed great givers but they can’t take anything given to them. I’ve felt that RECEIVING is as important as GIVING. It reflects the attitude of allowing the other person their deserved joy – their legitimate pride. To me, it is a way to be humble and say I love seeing you as a GIVER – I’m so happy to receive your generous help. If you give and can’t receive, you may as well mean, you are perhaps bigger, greater and richer.
I for one have received much more from my friends than however I could give. Receiving doesn’t make me feel impoverished and low. It rather makes me feel rich, happy and proud for I’m thus able to see the greatness and richness of those friends that give and I do bless them.
The greatest learning of the day is not to be ‘independent’ but rather be INTERDEPENDENT. What a great joy it is to feel both of us are dependent on eachother – just like the ‘violene’ is dependent on the ‘tabla’ n vice versa.
